Oslo’s oldest photo studio at street level by Oslo City Hall. Sturlason AS Polyfoto has operated continuously for more than 90 years. We also have a studio, image production lab and frame workshop in Asker.

We photograph private individuals, businesses and public-sector organisations, in the studio and on location. Studio photography can be booked online.

More than 90 years of photographic experience

More than 50 professional photographers have built Sturlason AS Polyfoto since 1933. Today, the company reflects their combined experience – continuously exploring photography, challenging one another and refining both photographic technique and the psychological understanding of portraiture.

Image production and framing

Our laboratory handles all image processing and production – from small formats to large displays. We frame photographs and other visual art in our own frame workshop.

Discretion and Norwegian photographic history

Since 1933, we have kept a low profile and handled every client assignment with personal contact and discretion. As one of the few photographic companies in Norway, we have had our historical photographic archive incorporated into the National Archives of Norway, where it is preserved as part of Norwegian photographic history for future generations.
